Michael is a Managing Director of Petra Capital Properties and a Registered Representative of Saxony Securities, Inc. He is responsible for marketing the Company’s securitized DST 1031-Exchange offerings throughout the western region of the United States, primarily focusing on single-family and multifamily residential property owners who are transitioning from active property management to passive lifestyle income.

Working with Petra’s independent full-service real estate investment team, Michael has access to an extensive property research database that includes more than 40 DST sponsor companies representing all major asset classes and diverse investment strategies. He collaborates with each client to create a personalized and diversfied DST 1031 portfolio that matches their combined investment objectives of tax deferral, targeted passive (monthly) cash flow, laddered liquidity needs, and simplified estate planning.

In addition to his focus on individual 1031 DST replacement property solutions, Michael is a licensed mortgage broker with Northpointe Bank. With more than two decades of experience in the mortgage business, Michael has earned a reputation for exceptional client satisfaction through creative loan structuring with best execution. Michael’s commitment to educating and servicing his clients has landed him in the top 1 percent of mortgage professionals nationwide, ranked annually by Mortgage Executive Magazine (2011 – 2022).

Michael lives in Castle Rock, CO with his wife (Janice) and three beautiful children—Isabella 23, Nico 18, and Gabriella, forever 14. He enjoys playing and coaching ice hockey, fitness/weightlifting, podcasting, and learning as much as he can about self-mastery.
